suburban Cleveland, Ohio. He attended Northwestern University in Evanston,
Illinois for undergraduate studies and continued on and entered Ohio State
University College of Veterinary Medicine. He has greatly enjoyed his career and
sometimes takes too much time telling stories. His specialized interests are
Boxers ,emergency medicine and internal medicine. Outside of veterinary medicine
his hobbies include his family, his numerous pets, gardening and his
recreational ranch outside of Condon, Oregon Kent and his wife Rita have been
married for over 25 years and have three wonderful children, Bret, Todd and
Sarah.
Born in Fairbanks, Alaska
Kerri Jackson was the youngest of six siblings and the only
girl...needless to say she was greatly protected by her mother and spoiled
rotten. Life was good. The family also included several dogs and cats. At one
point 12 dogs occupied the house, nine were St. Bernard's. Interest in
veterinary medicine, as a profession seemed to be a natural choice at a very
young age. In 1983 Kerri began her undergraduate studies at Oregon State
University. The decision to attend OSU was made because of the excellent
veterinary school that OSU had recently opened and the draw of the beautiful
winter weather that Corvallis had to offer. Her major area of study microbiology
with an emphasis in immunology. In 1987 Kerri began her veterinary school
education at OSU. The program also included a 1-1 1/2 year study block at
Washington State University in Pullman. In 1991 she graduated and began working
at Pacific Veterinary Hospital, where she worked for 8 years. During the winter
of 1998 Kerri left Pacific Veterinary Hospital to start her own business with
Kent Smith. Kerri is very excited about the clinic and looks forward to the
clinics goal of providing our clients with personal service and quality
medicine.
Natalie Mair-Williamson was born in England while her parents where there
attending college. After college they all returned to their homeland of Jamaica,
where Natalie was raised. Natalie's family owned many horses and Natalie was
quick to join in the riding and training of horses. Natalie took her skills with
her when she moved to Florida to begin college and to assist with the training
of Andelusian horses. She then moved to Boston to continue her education in
photography. She also began work at a local animal shelter called the Animal
Rescue League of Boston. The Rescue League veterinary clinic quickly recognized
Natalie's talents and she soon joined their staff as a technician. While working
at the Rescue League she also met her future husband, Mark. Natalie and Mark
moved to Portland in 1992 to further Mark's career in the field of animal
cruelty investigations. She continued with her career in veterinary technology
and became state certified. She has worked with Kent Smith and Kerri Jackson
since October 1992. Natalie and her husband have two beautiful boys, Zachery and
Kyle. They also have 3 dogs and 2 horses.
