Exams

Your pet can’t tell you when he or she feels sick. That’s why bringing your pets in for a physical exam every year is the smartest and easiest way to keep them healthy. Exams allow us to detect any problems before they become severe or costly.

What Do We Check During Exams?

  • Muscular and skeletal health by feeling for healthy muscle mass and joint pain.
  • Neurologic system – it could indicate birth defects in younger pets, and cognitive issues in older pets.
  • Appropriate weight and lifestyle for your pet’s age.
  • Lymph nodes – swollen nodes can indicate a wound, virus, infection or some other illness.
  • Vital signs (temperature, pulse and respiration) – an abnormal reading could indicate illness.
  • Skin and coat condition for growths, infection wounds and overall skin health.

COVID-19 Update

Updated: July 21, 2020

Face Masks Required For All Clients While Inside

URGENT CARE:
We are requesting that all Urgent Care appointments still stay as drop off appointments, please come to Suite 208 to drop off. Once again all Urgent Care appointments must be dropped off for convenience to get them seen between our scheduled appointments.

Urgent Care hours are 9am – 12pm and 2:30pm – 4:00pm. We will be at capacity after we accommodate 10 urgent care appointments. Please note that Urgent Care can be a 2-5 hour wait.

SCHEDULED APPOINTMENTS AND SURGERY
We are open to clients for regularly scheduled appointments and surgery appointments.

We will still be staying with our lunch hour closed from 1-2 pm and no clients will be allowed to stay in the hospital at that time.

Thank you for your understanding,
The Staff of Crossroads Veterinary Hospital
